Katrin Lautner

Katrin likes regionality. And puristic handwork. And standing in her own vineyard and feeling what the vines feel. Another thing she likes? The biodiversity in her first small vineyard. As you can tell from her labels! After her studies, several internships and a lot of experience in handcraft and taste, she now makes her own wine. She got her own vineyard in 2021 and puts all her love into it. Thank you Katrin for sharing your wild treasures with us.

Mittelburgenland, Austria

In the south of the Neusiedlersee there's Sopron, a small Hungarian corner, before one reaches the Mittelburgenland. This is an absolute paradise for the King-of-Austrian-reds grape variety Blaufränkisch. The Blaufränkisch feels super comfortable on the rich clay soils with huge water reservoirs, even on the hot, dry summer days. On the left, there's a hilly landscape, in the north and south there are smaller mountain ranges and then there's the hot wine coming from the eastern Pannonian lowlands. Katrin Lautner appreciates the region and conjures up great things from it!
