Milan and Simon met while studying biotechnology. During the day, they decoded yeast strains, and at night, they tested the results—so far, so student-like. At some point, the hangovers became annoying. In their search for non-alcoholic alternatives, they came across sad, de-alcoholized wines and boring juice experiments. So they thought to themselves: Let's do something new! Out of the lab and into the kitchen. The result is SHWUNG "phonetic wines" that sound like wine, feel like wine, but aren't wine. Instead: fermentation, botanicals, and lots of complexity. Not a cheap substitute, but something entirely unique. Our favorite: the sparkling Spuh-man-tay!
