Every now and then we ask our winegrowers if there are any new wines that they particularly like at the moment. One name has come up particularly often in recent months: Michi Lorenz. We recently had the pleasure of meeting the newcomer in Austria. And we immediately understood the hype surrounding his wines: They are mineral, multi-layered, long and lively. Not at all easy-drinking. And that's a good thing. The wines remind us a little of the neighboring Werlitsch winery. See for yourself!

Southern Styria, Austria

Oh, beautiful southern Styria! Multi-layered and varied soils full of marl, sand, slate and limestone can be found here in the incredibly steep vineyards, which can hardly be worked with machines. What does this mean for the winegrowers? Almost unconditional manual labor. In the Mediterranean temperatures, a drop of sweat can run down your forehead. It's good that it cools down a little in the evening with a good glass of wine. The region is often referred to as Austria's Tuscany. Understandably - beautiful nature, great wines, good food and friendly people, just like Michi Lorenz!
