Patrice Bรฉguet's profile:

๐Ÿ’ป Wine from an IT expert
๐Ÿท A labor of love: Big Bunch Theory
๐Ÿ’— A deep love for the Jura
๐Ÿ‡ Demeter all the way

Patrice left his IT career and Paris behind to return to the Jura, where he grew up. In the small village of Mesnay, he makes wine using biodynamic methods, Demeter-certified, and with zero compromises. The Big Bunch Theory is his passion project: grapes from organic vineyards run by friends across the countryโ€”from the Loire to Provence to Alsaceโ€”brought together in the Jura. He knows every winemaker personally. He oversees every harvest himself. The result: wines as colorful as their labelsโ€”and as diverse as the Jura itself.

Jura, France

The Jura region lies between Burgundy and the Alps. It sounds remote. And it is, a little bit. But thatโ€™s exactly what makes it so appealing. Amid limestone slopes, ancient grape varieties, and a healthy dose of stubbornness, wines are produced here that grow nowhere else. Ploussard, Trousseau, Savagnin: varieties that are virtually unknown elsewhere. Add to that winemakers who do exactly as they please. The international natural wine scene discovered the Jura long agoโ€”and canโ€™t get enough of it.
