Pauline & Carl Baumberger

Pauline grew up on her parents' traditional winery. After school, it was clear that she wanted to get away: learn new things, see the unknown. After studying communication design in The Hague, she spent time in Berlin and Paris. But Pauline soon realized: I want to go back. Back to wine. So it was back to the Nahe and at the same time this was the start of her natural wine line. Based on Pauline's time outside of Nahe, the wines are animating and fun! In addition, they are glouglou-like effervescent and radiant (hence the name!). Ever tried the legendary FIZZY? In 2020, brother Carl joined the team. And with him GLOW GLOW is complete.

Nahe, Germany

The dreamlike little place on earth called "Nahe" is strategically located quite cleverly. On the left the Mosel, on the right Rheinhessen and on the top right the Rheingau. What you can expect from this? The best of all the German wine growing regions of course! The soils in the Nahe are incredibly diverse, the vineyards range from flatlands to steep slopes like those found at Mosel , and in the east of the area the Nahe River meanders parallel to Mosel, until it joins the Rhine in the north. The GLOW GLOWs are located in Mandel - which is pretty much in the Mitte of the wine region. Here the vineyards are a bit lower than in the north of the region, so the harvest starts a few weeks earlier.
